LOOKING FORWARD TO WWDC AND THE NEW & SHINY
Unfortunately I will be working when WWDC does the event. I’ll have to watch it later. I hear there going to be updates to Voice Control. VC is great but still needs work. It struggles with homonyms I want to and it gives me two. Then in the correct word command it doesn’t list the correct version of the word I want. So I have to type instead of saying the number to choose.

The trouble is when you get to a point and something is supposed to work and it doesn’t. Often the problem is a spelling mistake or a syntax error you have not spotted. So easy to make little mistakes which mess it all up.

Now I have go back to using Due because it has the feature of nagging me every 5 minutes until the task is done. Does a proper alert too. Even though you don’t get as many controls to transform shapes by shearing them or skewing them on the iPad you can still get it done. You have to use the control panel for transform, or the Transform Studio which is on the right side of the application. You just have to put your Apple Pencil into the circle which is for controlling the shear amount and move it either up or down.

This could be a wavy line or in the case of this tutorial following the shape of a circle. Using the tools to do this on the iPad version of Affinity Designer is slightly more fiddly. I can do it with just one circle and use the controls to fairly easily place the text.

So this morning I exported the passwords out of 1Password and imported them into KeePassXC.

Usability is the Problem What I had was working fine. The Subler text file appeared in the folder and Hazel opened it up for me in BBEdit I typed in the three character string to start the Keyboard Maestro Macro which ran a Shortcut.

If you’re creating a zigzag and you want to have nodes lining up properly it’s easy to do if they’re going either vertical or horizontal. What about if you want to line up nodes and you’ve got a diagonal across the screen? It becomes a little bit more difficult because you can’t use the alignment tools. What do you need to do is to use a template which already has multiple pages set up within it. If you want to make your own multipage documents then you need to open up Affinity Publisher. You can open the affinity publisher document within Affinity Designer or you can save the Publisher document as a template.
