Have Letters or Shapes Cut out To reveal an Image below A couple of videos showing ways to do this thing where the image below shows through shapes cut into another shape. So this could text or whatever and there is a shape which masks the image underneath.

I have used DayOne for over 11 years and will probably stick with it, even though the subscription is about 10 Euro cheaper per year. They look quite similar so It would be easy to swap apps. There’s a Small Bug in Affinity Designer Affecting How You Work with Groups of Objects For a while I was having a problem when I was selecting a group of objects. I tried selecting the group by clicking on the group and I only got one object out of the group. This was annoying when I wanted to change the size of something and I only changed the size of one object in the group and not all of it.

Delighted with my new Yubikey. I bought a 5Ci this time. The others I have are the 5 series with a USB A connector. Having the lightning and the USB C will work better with my iPad and iPhone. Just set up one Google Account with all three keys and also Facebook. It was quite easy to set them up using the Yubico Authenticator app.

Even though you don’t get as many controls to transform shapes by shearing them or skewing them on the iPad you can still get it done. You have to use the control panel for transform, or the Transform Studio which is on the right side of the application. You just have to put your Apple Pencil into the circle which is for controlling the shear amount and move it either up or down.

Had a bad couple of days with my iPhone and the latest beta 16.4.1. The phone would connect to wifi and the phone network but was n ot to good at pushing the data to the apps. Whatsapp, banking apps, car charging apps and any thing that wanted data has been a pain in the arse. So now I’m taking the beta off the phone. I’ve learned my lesson.

I have an Elgato Streamdeck and It will be good to use with Yabai. I’ve started setting up a few of the keyboard shortcuts to the buttons. I might look at Better Touch tool to see if I can do some of Yabai with gestures on the Trackpad. Mostly using the actual keyboard shortcuts will be the best way forward.

HOW TO USE THE YABAI WINDOW TILING APP ON MAC OS VENTURA

Amazed at Yabai Window Tiling on MacOS Ventura. Yabai was pretty easy to set up. It’s all controlled by a config file. I did this in Neovim although you could use any good TextEditor.
