Teleprompter Applications
I have been practising with some Teleprompter applications on my iPhone to make sure I look at the little green dot on the camera rather than looking at the screen. This is so that when I’m talking to the camera I am not looking so shifty which is the effect to get when you’re looking away from the camera and is it off to the left or to the right.
I do have some specialised glass which I could use so that I could put a camera directly behind it and use the Teleprompter in a mirror mode and directly from the glass and the camera I would be in exactly the right position so I would have my eyes directly looking at my audience.
The one thing that I’m finding about this set of Teleprompter applications is that they’re from the same company and they all look pretty similar and seem to do the same thing. It’s hard to work out which one is the best for the job I want to do with it. There is one called Teleprompter and another one Teleprompter for video and then another one which has a blue icon and I’m not sure what the difference is there. It’s possible to get a premium Version of these and again I’m not so much of a difference. There is even a way to get an upgrade by using the application for a couple of days and completing a certain number of tasks. I’ll see how that goes first.
There are also Mac versions of these Teleprompter applications and I might have a look at those as well.
